Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), founded in 1971, is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from health care. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of medical professionals, logistics, administrative and various other professions, all guided by our medical ethics and our principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality.


MAIN PURPOSE:

Planning, coordinating and monitoring all logistics related activities in the project or capital and providing support to medical assistance activities, according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure an optimal running of the project.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assisting the Project Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator in defining and overseeing logistics activities to address the needs of the targeted population.
  • Ensuring and monitoring logistics/technical activities, including logistics, WHS (Water, Health and Sanitation), and supply chain management.
  • Handling administrative tasks related to logistics.
  • Participating in HR processes for logistics staff to ensure competency.
  • Providing technical guidance and coaching to logistics staff.
  • Defining and monitoring project risk reduction and security policies.
  • Participating in monthly reporting as per guidelines.

Job requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 4 years of working experience in logistics related activities.
  • Previous experience with other NGOs, and working experience in developing countries is a highly appreciated.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:

  • Essential secondary education and technical diploma or technical university degree, preferably as an engineer.
  • Fluency in Arabic, English and French is mandatory.
